Door de Brexit komen titels die uit de UK afkomstig zijn nog altijd
met vertraging binnen. Soms valt het mee en duurt het slechts 2-3
weken, maar het komt helaas ook voor dat we 4 weken of meer moeten
wachten. We doen ons best om alles zo goed en snel mogelijk te
regelen, maar het blijft lastig...

| Omschrijving | What is worth waiting for. Multi-instrumentalist /
actor Riz Story spent ten years writing and
composing a feature film and novel, the soundtrack
of which he can finally publish with his formation
ANYONE in 2021. ´In Humanity´ has become a 100-
minute opus over two discs and goes down in band
history as a mighty opus magnum.
Riz Story recorded and produced the fourth work by
ANYONE completely by himself. Although ANYONE was
founded in the early 1990s in Laguna Beach,
California, as a real group formation in which Jon
Davison (YES) and Taylor Hawkins (FOO FIGHTERS,
ALANIS MORISSETTE) or David Silveria (KORN)
played, it has become a one-man project.
The fact that ANYONE didn’t go steeply uphill
after their debut on “RoadRunner Records” was
never due to the song material presented so far.
And with ´In Humanity´ these extraordinary
abilities do not decrease. But on the contrary.
The thirteen compositions are a turning point in
ANYONE`s career and subtly set a new benchmark in
progressive rock with symphonic and electronic
elements, although in a different way than PURE
REASON REVOLUTION, which provided a new blueprint
in the mid-noughties, but just as trend-setting.
As a concept work, ´In Humanity´ is of course
highly conceptual, but musically based on jams.
This underlying joy in playing can be heard in
many compositions, which also like to bathe in
their melodies for what feels like an eternity.
Although the gods RUSH and YES are hidden in the
DNA of the song material as well as the
relationship between the vocals and Bono (U2), the
airy guitars from SAGA, the rhythmic sound from
TOOL or the electronic sound from RADIOHEAD,
ANYONE always sounds highly independent.
ANYONE pick up the phone for 100 minutes, leave
the destroyed earth behind and go in search of a
new home planet. Whether the future holds a better
end for mankind remains uncertain, because it is
people who, like a virus, infect and destroy every
new planet. Meanwhile, ANYONE underline the story
dramatically and epically, in an airy and dark
ambience, with synthesizers, piano, electric and
acoustic guitar, furious instrumental work, with a
modern, and perpetual progressive rock. |
