Nieuws MEDEDELING !!

Omschrijving | Friends of demanding progressive rock can look
forward to The Ancestry Program`s second album.
With "Mysticeti Ambassadors" - the promising title
- TAP have stayed true to their progressive line,
but have now gone a step further in terms of
songwriting and production.
You can feel the synthesis of the distinctive
personalities within the Munich combo, which has
meanwhile been expanded to a quintet by virtuoso
bassist Frank Thumbach. With electric bass, double
bass and fretless bass, this helps ensure that the
frequency pyramid in the basement is rocked in a
tasteful, sophisticated and tidy manner. Frank is
certainly known to those familiar with the scene
as the touring bassist for RPWL.
The Ancestry Program also consists of:
Ben Knabe - lead & background vocals, lap steel
guitar
Mani Gruber - Lead & Background Electric &
Acoustic Guitars, Vocals, Keyboards
Thomas Burlefinger - lead & background keyboards,
guitars, vocals, kazoo, sax
Andy Lind - lead & background drums, loops,
vocals, screams, keyboards
Frank Thumbach - Lead & Background Bass, Upright
Bass, Fretless Bass
The new album is divided into two parts: PART 1
will be released at the end of November 2021, PART
2 will follow in autumn 2022. Both musically and
in terms of the artwork, TAP gives the subgenre of
the two-part, semi-conceptual quadruple album,
founded especially for this purpose, a new
artistic dimension. The surprise becomes perfect
when the second piece of the puzzle comes into
play.
In the future, the band is overjoyed to be able to
continue to count illustrious guest musicians
among their creative collaborators:
Wolfgang Zenk (7 for 4) - Guitar
Axel Kühn - Soprano Saxophone & Clarinet
Christina Elsner - cello
Veronika Halser - violin
Hooray! - Real strings now also on TAP! This time
the band spared neither expense nor effort to
present their art in opulent presentation to the
expectant audience.
This time, too, it will be really demanding in
terms of artwork: the congenial quintet of long-
established Jan Reiser (painting), Dean Bennici
(infrared photography), Jonathan Gordon (band
photography), Jan Lehner and Andy Lind (cover
design) once again proves that that the big
picture is often more than the sum of its parts.
An artwork that you like to hold in your hands,
browse through and remind you that the immaterial
digital age is just beginning to end. |
