MEDEDELING !!
Door de Brexit komen titels die uit de UK afkomstig zijn nog altijd
met vertraging binnen. Soms valt het mee en duurt het slechts 2-3
weken, maar het komt helaas ook voor dat we 4 weken of meer moeten
wachten. We doen ons best om alles zo goed en snel mogelijk te
regelen, maar het blijft lastig...

| Omschrijving | The Bremen formation Eyevory is no longer unknown
in the German prog scene. Among other things, they
also made an appearance at the Night of the Prog
Festival 2017. Aurora" is the fourth longplay
album, if one also counts the about 35-minute debut
"The True Bequest" as such. In addition they could
fulfill themselves a big dream, which is also
available on DVD, namely a collaboration with
orchestra. In the new album, the three great
Eyevories have again a permanent member at the
drums position in the boat.
The nine songs, almost exclusively in the five-
minute range, were recorded by: Jana Frank - vocals
/ bass Kaja Fischer - vocals / flute / piano David
Merz - guitars / synthesizers / piano / vocals
Christian Schmutzer - drums / percussion.
Incidentally, none other than Eroc was responsible
for the mastering. The music of the Bremer is
created very melodic. The vocal melodies are quite
catchy, but are sometimes repeated a little too
often. Both ballads (`Slowly Falling`) and faster-
paced numbers are part of the program, with Merz
setting the accents more on the guitar, while the
keyboard instruments are usually used discreetly,
but widespread. The highlight is certainly the epic
final track `Carry On` with a playing time of
almost eleven minutes. Here they pull all the
available registers and ensure that the song at the
end has some real climax counteracts. Strong
number! All in all this is a good-humored, fast-
paced melodic-prog album with excursions to the
symphonic as well as to the folk. |
