| Omschrijving | Australian Progressive Rock band Anubis release a
new 2CD live album, recorded in July 2018 on the
groups summer 2018 tour. 2018 marked Anubis’ tenth
year as a performing band and the fifth anniversary
of it’s current lineup. Their summer European tour
celebrating those milestones was captured for
posterity with a full length 2CD live album
recorded at two stops along the tour.
The first disc is the almost complete set from the
band’s much talked about festival performance at
Loreley Amphitheater on July 15th 2018.
Recorded in front of the largest audience the band
have yet played to, the set featured pieces from
the 2017 studio album The Second Hand plus the
stage favourites Dead Trees, Silent Wandering
Ghosts and the epic Disinfected And Abused from
their debut 230503 album.
The second disc is taken from the band’s sold out
performance at well known Dutch Prog club ‘t Blok.
This disc features a full live performance of the
band’s critically acclaimed second album - the
concept piece A Tower of Silence, which upon
release brought Anubis to a whole new fan base in
Europe and the album is still regarded amongst the
progressive rock community as one of the must heard
records of 2011. This show marked the first
complete performance of the album since 2012 and to
date it’s the only complete performance outside of
Australia.
