Door de Brexit komen titels die uit de UK afkomstig zijn nog altijd
met vertraging binnen. Soms valt het mee en duurt het slechts 2-3
weken, maar het komt helaas ook voor dat we 4 weken of meer moeten
wachten. We doen ons best om alles zo goed en snel mogelijk te
regelen, maar het blijft lastig...

| Omschrijving | Maxophone is an important name within the
boundless world of Italian progressive rock.
Like
many other colleagues, popular or not, they
disbanded after only one self-titled LP,
released
in 1975; but thanks to that beautiful album,
which at the time granted the band several live
shows and even a few TV appearances, we can put
Maxophone in the élite of the greatest Italian
prog bands. After the 2005 CD+DVD boxset "From
cocoon to butterfly", the 2009 reunion and the
live album "Live in Tokyo", we were still
missing
one piece: a new album consisting of original
songs, which finally sees the light here, in
"La
fabbrica delle nuvole" (The clouds factory), a
release that AMS Records is very proud to
present
you. The vintage sound of the `70s is less
dominant in today`s Maxhopone, which are closer
to modern progressive rock that, on several
occasions, is influenced by progressive scores
(to name one similar artist above others: Neal
Morse and his Spock`s Beard) and folk music;
all
in support of the unmistakable voice of the
keyboardist and singer Sergio Lattuada. In
conclusion, "La fabbrica delle nuvole" sounds
like a collection of fairytales, set to music
by
an Italian prog historical group that, while
having updated their sound to these actual
times,
does not give up that `mystical` aura that had
already marked their first, unforgettable
record.
