The Oblivion Tales, Melanie Mau and Martin
Schnella release their first album of their own
compositions, and over the last few years the
Acoustic Duo has received much attention on
YouTube through their acoustic arrangements of
songs from artists like Kansas, Yes, Peter
Gabriel, Blind Guardian, In Flames and many
"The Oblivion Tales" are the untold,
traditional and true stories that move their
hearts. The songs are about people and
situations in their lives. Some of the songs
are based on mythical myths and fables from the
Harz, the home of Melanie and Martin.
In addition to these two on this album we can
also hear the percussionists Niklas Kahl and
Fabian Gödecke, and exceptional bassist Lars
Lehmann with the regular cast.
Some special guests provide a lot of variety
and that certain something.
Jens Kommnick (Iontach, Reinhard Mey) gives
some songs a Celtic touch. Also Jimmy Keegan
(ex-Spock`s Beard) is drumming on three songs.
Other scene-famous musicians include Dave Meros
(Spock`s Beard), Rachel Hall (Big Big Train),
Eric & Nathan Brenton (Neal Morse), Martin Huch
(Fury In The Slaughterhouse) and Tobias Reiss
(Laith Al Deen).
